Direct therapeutic work with the young people in your care, and clinical guidance for the team around them, from a BACP-registered psychotherapist who works in residential children’s homes every week. Available in and around London.
Waiting lists for outside therapy can run for months, and staff are often left managing behaviour without the support to understand it. My consultancy brings both together: direct work with the young people who need it, and regular guidance for the adults around them, with written reports that show the progress being made.

Weekly or fortnightly 1:1 therapeutic sessions in the home, with session notes and a monthly report for each young person.

Monthly team consultation, practical strategies grounded in PACE and the 3 R's, and optional staff training.
I work with young people in the home, where they already feel safest, so support can start from the first month rather than after a long wait.
Every young person is different, so the pace and style of sessions are shaped around them, and we review how things are going together each month.
What happens in sessions only works if it carries on in the day-to-day life of the home. I work with your staff so the whole team understands what sits behind a young person’s behaviour, and responds in the same way.
I’m Ryan Selby, a BACP-registered integrative psychotherapist. Alongside my private practice, I work in residential children’s homes every week, with young people and with the managers and care staff who support them.
My work is trauma-informed and grounded in attachment theory, PACE and the 3 R’s. I can also work alongside other therapists or clinical leads, so that what happens in sessions carries on in the day-to-day life of the home.
